
EXPERIENCE:
Lindsay Shepard joined Watkins Calcara in August, 2007, and brings with her experience in a wide range of disciplines from her law school tenure. Her scholarly endeavors ranged from the areas of corporate taxation, estates and trusts and real estate law to advanced trial advocacy and tort law. Lindsay also received the James P. Mize Trial Advocacy Award, which is presented to the top University of Kansas trial advocacy student. To further her experience, Lindsay held internships in various political arenas such as the Kansas House and Senate, the Kansas State Treasurer’s Office and a lobbying firm, and clerked with the Kansas Board of Tax Appeals and Koch Industries, Inc. Lindsay’s diverse background enables her to effectively and efficiently advocate for her clients.
Lindsay’s background in business and law also enables her to see things from a variety of angles while quickly reaching the essence of a problem. This combination allows Lindsay to offer her clients creative yet practical solutions.
