EXPERIENCE:
Robin Fabricius worked in the financial services industry for nearly fifteen years prior to stepping into the legal arena. Her background facilitated a very smooth transition into estate and business planning. As her estate planning practice blossomed, Robin realized the need to acquire an understanding of medicaid and medicaid planning as many of her clients, or client's family members, were moving to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The questions about this process were endless, most primarily centered around how to pay for the required care. Some clients were particularly interested in how to "save" the "family farm" which had been passed down from generation to generation. In response to an obvious demand, Robin has become a member of a national group of elder law attorneys who have a particular emphasis in medicaid law known as Medicaid Practice Systems created by Dave Zumpano in Syracuse, New York. Robin was able to acquire an in-depth knowledge of medicaid and the process of applying for medicaid through this program. She has instant contact with medicaid planning attorneys throughout the nation and is continually updated on this ever changing field of law.
Robin has a strong belief that the key component to a successful attorney/client relationship is the development of a long term relationship between the client, Robin and her team. The relationship should be built on a strong foundation of information which enables the client to make good decisions, implement the plan, and review the plan periodically as it pertains to ever changing circumstances.
